Incentives
Iowa Incentives
There are many financial incentives available to Iowans who would like to install a renewable energy system. Grants, gauranteed loans, and tax incentives are some of the ways you can drastically bring down the installed price of a wind energy system. Wind-Rich Energy Solutions assists our clients with identifying these opportunities to ensure the incentives are fully utilized.
You can find every incentive available to you through DSIREUSA.org
Tips To Find Your Incentive
- Federal 30% tax incentive. Anyone paying income tax qualifies
- Grants: Available for rural farm and business
- Guaranteed Loans:Available for agriculture and rural businesses, certain restrictions apply.
- Sales Tax Exemption: Any Iowa install is exempt from paying sales tax on the entire system install.
- From Your Utility: Many utilities have sponsored programs to assist financially in the installation of renewable energy systems. Check frequently with your utility as these programs are usually offered for a limited time only and often subject to change.

Attention Farmers: REAP Grant May Be For You
In the heart of America we have access to some of the best wind fuel in the world. The Rural Electrification for America Program levels the playing field for farmers to produce their own electricity to power their farm or small rural business. With maximum funding of 25% of installed cost, your turbine can pay off in as little as 5 years.
For some the decision may be relatively easy. If you have the option to pay Uncle Sam or buy an asset it may be a no brainer. If you have an excess of wind and qualify for incentives that help your operation become more profitable the next step is looking for an American made quality product.
You will find quality made American products carried at Wind-Rich. We now carry Jacobs turbines from Wind Turbine Industries Corp. The Jacobs name has been around longer than any turbine in its class. Still manufactured in the Mid-West, Jacobs is our option for 20 Kilowatt turbines. Like our Bergey 10kW, the 20kW Jakes are available on 100-160 ft. Rohn towers.
